Jilin University

Jilin University (CMU) is among the first batch of Chinese medical schools authorized by the Ministry of Education (MOE) to recruit international students. It is also one of the universities authorized by MOE to teach medicine in English for international students.
Jilin University (CMU) was the first medical school established by the Chinese Communist Party. Its precursor was the Chinese Workers'-Peasants' Red Army Military Medical School and Chinese Workers'-Peasants' Red Army Health School founded in Ruijin city, Jiangxi province in 1931.
Over 70,000 senior specialized medical personnel have been educated by CMU since its establishment. Its graduates are all over China and some countries and regions of the world. It nurtured so many famous medical experts and leaders of national health administration and education.

Requirements:- Marks Sheets of 10th and 12th with 80% of marks in PC, Valid Passport, Healthy and Non-Criminal Record, Application and Photos.

In June 2000, authorized by the Ministry of Education, the new Jilin University was founded on the basis of the former Jilin University, Jilin University of Technology, Norman Bethune Medical University, Chang Chun University of Science and Technology and Chang Chun Telegraph Institute.
Subsequently, the libraries of the five universities merged into Jilin University library, five branches included: the Central library, the Technology library, the Medical library, the Geosciences’ library and the Information library.
Currently there are 383 staffs, including 1 professor, 7 librarians, 56 associate librarians, 167 assistant librarians. Of all the staffs, there are 24 master and doctoral candidates and 296 professionals. 208 staffs awarded Bachelor’s degree account for 54.3%. After many years’ constructing, library has established a multiple and comprehensive bibliographic resources system whose main body is humanities, social science, engineering science, medicine, geological science and information science.
Collections include 12 branches of learning, ranging from philosophy, economics, law, education, literature, history, science, engineering, medicine, management, agriculture to military. Now collections totaled 6.9 million volumes (July 2006 deadline).

Jilin University has 6,568 faculty members, of whom 2,058 are professors and 1,186 are doctoral supervisors. 23 faculty are members of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and/or the Chinese Academy of Engineering (15 adjunct members), and 6 eminent professors in humanities and social sciences.
Jilin University is home to 69,000 full-time students, including over 24,000 graduate students, 43,000 undergraduate students and 2,000 international students from 98 countries. More than 400,000 students have graduated from Jilin University, and more than 70 alumni are members of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and/or Chinese Academy of Engineering. In an increasingly international society, Jilin University has set up collaborative relationships with 199 universities and institutions from 34 countries and regions. With its unique geographical position, Jilin University has also made remarkable contributions to studies on Japan, DPRK, ROK, Russia and Mongolia. Each year, more than 1000 scholars come to visit and work at Jilin University; many of them are presidents of universities, Nobel Prize Laureates, and leading experts in their respective areas.
Jilin University has co-established 18 joint labs or research centers with top–level universities in the world, including JLU-GT Joint Institute on Theoretical Sciences, JLU-UIUC Research Base for Contemporary Agriculture, JLU-UC Davis Joint Center on Food Science, JLU-UGA Joint Center on Bioinformatics, JLU-California State University Northridge Center for Comparative Management Research, JLU-GM Pace Research Center, JLU-AU Research Center on Public Diplomacy, JLU-Rutgers Joint Centers on China and American Studies, etc.
